About Me
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and received my BS in Special Education. I moved to Central New York in 1988 to pursue my first teaching position. I taught in Camden, NY for 5 years as a Special Education teacher. After taking a few years off to have children and finish my MS Degree in Reading, I returned to work as a reading specialist in Oakfield, NY. Finally, we arrived in Auburn and I have been teaching here ever since. My husband is the general music teacher at Seward I have two daughters, Sarah-19 and Abby-16.
I love my position here at Seward as the Reading AIS. This year I am working with a new early intervention called LeveledLiteracy Intervention. I work with grades K, 1, 2, 3, and 4. My reading program is pull-out in a small group.
