Genetics Research

This assignment is designed to provide practice in computer use, reading comprehension, and writing skills relating to a topic in biology.   A large portion of the Biology Regents Exam will require reading comprehension and written responses.  This assignment will count as two quiz grades (20 Points) for marking period 5.
    
Use the internet to find 2 to 3  articles on a genetic disorder/disease of interest to you or your family.   Read the articles and then in a minimum of two paragraphs, explain how the disorder upsets homeostasis in the human body.  
Include a relevant graphic with your paper.

Your paper should include:
        -Name of article and source (use easy bib or citationmaker).
        -Name of the genetic disorder/disease.
        -How the disorder is transmitted or the cause of the disorder.
        -Name of the human system most directly influenced by the
         disorder and a description of the effect the disorder
          has on the human system.
        -How the medical profession treats the disorder.
        -What population of humans is most often affected by the disorder.
        -A relevant graphic.
