A Statement from Superintendent Pirozzolo: Passing of a student

Dear Auburn Families,

It is with great sadness that we inform you that Asia Forest, an Auburn Enlarged City School District student attending a BOCES program at Jordan-Elbridge School District, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of February 8, 2023 from a medical issue. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the student's family, friends, and both school communities. The district's crisis team will be available to offer support for students, families, and employees. If you feel your child needs to speak to a counselor or another member of our crisis team, please do not hesitate to call the main office of your child's school to let us know.

We are wishing the student’s family and the Auburn and Jordan-Elbridge communities strength and resilience during this difficult time.
