ARISE Adaptive Design visits Seward, donates adaptive devices
May 31, 2023In May, friends from ARISE Adaptive Design visited Seward Elementary to donate some adaptive furniture they built, which will be used in Seward’s 12:1 classrooms.
Connor McGough, ARISE Adaptive Design Coordinator, and his assistant spoke to the speech therapists, school psychologists, social workers, and guidance counselors at Seward about all of the things ARISE can provide for our students when needed. Their team uses everyday materials to create customized equipment and devices for children and adults with disabilities. Mr. McGough said they try to create items that are not available on the market yet, or if they are, at a much lower price point.
We are very excited to put these donated pieces to good use in Seward’s 12:1 classrooms. Thank you, ARISE Adaptive Design!
