As you may be aware, Governor Hochul has announced a statewide plan to restrict smartphone use in schools to promote a distraction-free learning environment. This decision is aimed at improving student focus and creating a better atmosphere for learning. As we begin to prepare for this change, it’s important to understand the perspectives and concerns of our community.

To help ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition, we invite you to share any questions, concerns, or ideas you may have about the use of internet-enabled devices during the school day. Your input will help inform how this policy is understood and implemented in our schools.
