Auburn Junior High School
is a public junior high school within the Auburn Enlarged City School District. Our school community consists of approximately 620 students in Grades 7 and 8, as well as approximately 70 teachers and staff. We are proud of our commitment to academic success and an environment that promotes respect and individual growth.

On July 1, 2011, East Middle School became Auburn Junior High School for Grades 7 and 8 when West Middle School closed. The building was originally East Senior High School built in 1930.

"Character  Counts"

The mission of Auburn Junior High School Faculty and Staff, working in partnership with the family and community, is to develop well-educated, productive, caring citizens who grow in character, integrity and social responsibility.  We will promote the value of life-long learning in a safe environment during this time of transition from childhood to young adulthood.
