Scholarship Application Process

ORGANIZE
  • Make a list or spread sheet of the scholarships for which you will apply, their criteria, required documentation, and deadlines 
  • Request official transcripts and letters of recommendation (if needed) from the Counseling Office
     
APPLY
  • Complete applications in order of earliest deadline first
  • Carefully follow each scholarship's instructions
  • Complete a Scholarship Application Checklist for each scholarship to which you applied, and bring them to the Counseling Office
     

Local Scholarships

Auburn High School is privileged to be able to offer a great many scholarships made available through local community organizations.  Seniors are encouraged to apply to any and all scholarships for which they are eligible, as these monies will be awarded to students in the AHS senior class each year.

1.      Sign in to Naviance Student
2.      Click on the "Colleges" tab
3.      Scroll down to the "Scholarships and Money" section
4.      Click on "Scholarship List"
 
Each scholarship has its own link, with eligibility information, monetary amount, and application procedures.

Auburn High School awards the following scholarships to eligible juniors who apply:

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Medal
Rochester Institute of Technology Medal & Scholarship

University of Rochester Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award
University of Rochester George Eastman Young Leaders Award
University of Rochester Frederick Douglas/Susan B. Anthony Award

Interested juniors need to contact their school counselor by the end of February and provide an updated activity sheet/resume of their high school activities. These scholarships can be found on Naviance; to access the list:
